Trades Union Congress Case Study

In June 2007, Comtec Presentations was set a challenge to produce the launch of the first Astute Class Submarine. The event build took one week and involved 135 crew, 15 articulated vehicles, 10 x 7.5 tonne trucks and 2 coaches to transport personnel.

The event was covered live by all major UK Press and Television networks for features on Sky News, BBC and ITV and was commended in the “Best Event of the Year” category at the Association of Event Organisers Awards Ceremony in June 2008. 7,000 launch DVD’s were produced containing all footage from the event and the Royal Navy, Rolls Royce and the Discovery Channel required specific footage for their own productions.

BAE Systems Astute Submarine Launch Case Study

For the past few years Comtec Presentations has successfully won the tender to produce the National Union of Teachers Annual Conference as the appointed stage, set and AV contractor.

Our stage set design needs to reflect the Union’s role as a major, forward-looking, professional organisation whilst being visually attractive, innovative and allow for televised images.

National Union of Teachers Case Study

Comtec Presentations has ensured an awards ceremony to amaze and excite guests at the M & IT Industry Awards for the past two years – going the extra mile to set the industry standard for live events production.

The M&IT Industry Awards have wowed audiences previously with large-scale wide screen and multi-screen technologies. Comtec’s full service media team were given the chance to push the limits of delivery by utilising combinations of new software and creativity to produce animated backgrounds moving constantly behind live camera images and real-time interactive 3d and 2d content – taking speaker support to the ‘next level.’
