Comtec Presentations are proud to be the official live event partners to the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club.

For the past 6 years Comtec Presentations have been the proud sponsors of the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club. Born out of the ashes of the Manchester Storm, once one of Europe’s best-loved Ice Hockey teams.

The new season got underway in September and the Comtec media team created new designs for shirts, merchandise, fixtures lists and posters as well as arranging for the printing and fixing of sponsors dasher boards.

As part of the package Comtec are the Live Event provider for the club including all sound and lighting at each of the team’s home games, attended by over 1500 loyal fans every week. Comtec’s engineers have rigged the venue, the Altrincham Ice Dome, with state of the art equipment including 22 Plasma screens. A spokesperson for the club stated that ‘without the help and support from the Comtec team the club wouldn’t be able to put on such an exciting show. As soon as the house lights go down and the sirens start whirring the audience know they are going to experience something special.’

Following on from the success of last season, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility obligations, Comtec are helping to fund school road shows featuring the teams star players educating pupils on important topics such as healthy eating, exercise and anti-drugs and weapons. The school road shows proved to be a big success last year with over 20 schools taking part and reaching hundreds of children with these important messages.

About the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club

Founded in 2003, The Manchester Phoenix are the North West's only full-tier ice hockey club.

There are teams ranging from the Junior Under 10 level right up to the fully professional English Premier Hockey League squad playing out of the 2,200 seater Altrincham Ice Dome. The Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club is a true family orientated sport.

League home games are predominantly on Sunday evenings, commencing at 5.30pm and finishing before 8.00pm. With crowds averaging 1,500 and growing, the Phoenix is a sporting spectacle on the rise. A night at the Ice Hockey is an entertainment-packed affair with lots of interactive off-ice fun for all the family. Added to the speed, skills, thrills and spills of the fastest team sport in the world there is an atmosphere second to none.

Our club encompasses an approved Schools Roadshow that each and every week of the season takes Ice Hockey out into the community, encouraging participation in sport and a healthy living programme. Last season, the Phoenix Roadshow took the message into over 50 schools across Manchester and even further out.

With Britain's most celebrated Ice Hockey star - Tony Hand MBE, back for his third season as Head Coach, the 2008-09 season promises to be our biggest and best yet.
