Types of Abstract Submission:

Research Study
Abstracts must include a brief description of the background to the research, the research question or hypothesis (whichever is applicable), the research design and data collection methods, data analysis methods, results and conclusions.

Outbreak Investigation
Abstracts must include a brief description of the background to the outbreak including the setting, the objectives of the investigation, description of the investigation and data collection methods, results of investigation and analysis of intervention and conclusions

Surveillance Project
Abstracts must include a brief description of the background to the surveillance project, the objectives, the design and data collection methods, data analysis methods and results and conclusions

Service Improvement Project
Abstracts must include context (e.g., details of ward, department, staff), the improvement issue, the process used to gather information about the problem, how this information informed your understanding of the problem, the strategy for improvement and how success was measured, the evidence of improvement (did it work and how did you know it had worked?) and any future steps (how will the improvement be sustained?)
