In 2008 the entire company pledged to help both the company and each other develop. We have been striving to invest in our people, from the funding of development courses in key areas of the business to team building exercises which bring our team closer together.

When each person begins their career at Comtec, an Employee Development Programme is built around the individual. With the setting of objectives, both job role specific and personal, the aim is to ensure that each individual is given the opportunity to grow in a supported environment which pushes their personal boundaries. We aim to monitor this development with regular appraisals to ensure each employee is on track.

As well as being a legal requirement, health and safety is very important to the company. As well as designated staff carrying out rigorous checks throughout the premises on a regular basis, each member of the team is encouraged to look after their own working area to provide a safe environment.

At Comtec we understand that life cannot always accommodate a 9-5 workload. Due to this we try to provide flexible working covering both hours and location allowing a number of our employees to work from home when necessary. A number of our staff has also taken ‘Career breaks’ to do the things they feel are important to them such as time with their children or around the world trips.

Comtec values each of its employees as individuals, and avoids placing artificial barriers or distinctions based on any aspect of the differences between them.
